The Ladies Waiting Room is surrounded by beautiful windows. Each one needs to be repaired by hand at a cost of $1500! You can adopt a window for $1500 and we will attach a brass plaque with your name at your window. You can be a part of the depot for it’s next 125 years! Bodfish Car House Pocket Museum Moved to the Depot

We are so excited and honored to have the Bodfish Section House trackside at the depot as GJDFs “pocket museum”. The name describes its tiny size but it is full of wonderful CPR artifacts. Larry Smith,Milo ME, worked out of this car house when it sat along side the tracks at Bodfish. Larry has volunteered to assist with set up come spring 2022. It will then be open for “tours”. Hope to create a short track for motor car to come out of the building.

Mission Accomplished: The Great Freight Shed Fix-Up and Lake-Side Windows

TAKING SHAPE!!! Hardy Construction of Brewer, ME sided and skirted 2 sides of the freight shed to look as it did in original pictures. Notable features include: custom cut clapboards with 3” exposure; vertical wainscoting, and custom trim using pattern from station portion. Doors have been installed in the openings to comply with current code. These doors will be covered with freight shed sliding doors to reproduce the original look when the Depot is not in use. Stop by and see the progress for yourself the next time you are passing through. Greenville Junction Depot Friends (GJDF) appreciate Todd Hardy’s willingness to work with us in phases as our budget allows..

LAKESIDE WINDOWS! One of the things we really wanted in our depot restoration was to convert the trackside freight doors to windows. Opening and lightening the space with fantastic views of Moosehead Lake the windows make the depot a much more desirable venue for gatherings and events. The results speak for themselves!
